Were you part of the group of 1981 graduates at Donvale? Twenty five years have sailed past since that eventful year, which provides enough of an excuse for everyone to get back together again!

The big event has been scheduled for Saturday 18 November, to be held at the Geebung Polo Club in Auburn and ...all students from Form 1 (1976) to Year 12 (1981) invited.

Time to get the thinking caps on - who do you know that belongs to that year?

Cost is $20 per person. Please make contact with either:

  • Trevor Woolfe
  • Linda Whiteside

to confirm your attendance.

As Sgt Pepper told us:

"Having been some time in preparation, a splendid time is guaranteed for all ... "

Venue - Manningham Club, Bulleen. Ticket prices will be inclusive of finger food & DJ.

It is with sadness that news reaches us of the passing of two of our school community.

Ruth Collard, who taught many of us at Donvale, passed away on 2 April 2005.

David Perkins, who attended Donvale between 1972 and 1977, passed away during October 2005.

Updated: 17 December 2005

The "young people" who started at Donvale (in year 7) in 1978 have all started turning 40 and as a result, one of their number - Ernie (Ernst) Gmehling - has arranged a "We've turned 40" reunion in August 2006. The event will take place at the Donvale Sports/Football Club on 5 August 2006. One of the group, Brian Fletcher, is president of the Donvale Football Club and has arranged the venue to be at its best for the night.

The entry fee for the event is $20.00 per head which will cover the cost of the venue (which has a smoking and non-smoking room), the DJ, finger food and a complementary drink upon arrival at the event. Drinks will be available at bar prices. Please note that tickets need to be purchased in advance to ensure that catering can be finalised.

Ernie would love to hear from anyone wishing to attend

Please pass the word around through your network of family and friends.

This is going to be big - don't miss out, soon-to-be-40-year-olds!
