What's happened since Year 12: Science Education at Melbourne, five years teaching in three schools (Charlton, Churchill and Langwarrin).

Married in 1985. Lived in Charlton, Moe (seriously), Keysborough, Frankston, Langwarrin and Templestowe. Lucy born in 1991 and Sam in 1994.

Joined BP for "twelve months" and left thirteen and a half years later. Had a variety of roles, predominantly in the distributor channel. This means there's not many rural airports or fuel depots I haven't visited in Australia, as well as throughout South West Pacific. Most recent role was an education role in Asia Pacific region.

On September 2001, was walking through Singapore Airport, en route to Tokyo when I saw some news footage on CNN. Didn't understand at that point that getting on a plane was a little dangerous. BP pointed that out to me when I arrived in Tokyo and soon after ceased all international travel. Hard to be in an Asia Pacific role when you can't fly internationally and so they killed off the job.

Gave me a cheque and told me to go away. Didn't argue for long ...

Since then have completed a number of contract roles through my own business (www.innovo.com.au). Joined National Foods in November 2004 - a real job again! Managed to get retrenched again - are they trying to tell me something?

Lost a football team (Fitzroy) and gained another (the mighty Brisbane Lions) - saw three premierships in a row having waited thirty-nine years for the first one.

Have started coaching football - back where it all started - Beverley Hills Junior Football Club Under 10 & 11''s, having been a state finalist in the Auskick Coach of the Year in 2003. Also involved in cricket at East Doncaster CC - junior coach to 35 under-12's and still rolling the arm over in the seniors and veterans (over 40's) competitions.

Anything else you want to tell us? JL was right - E really does mc2, in case you are interested.
